LOS ANGELES, CA — Film Independent, the nonprofit arts organization that produces the Film Independent Spirit Awards and Los Angeles Film Festival, announced it will bring TWILIGHT SAGA fans a once in a lifetime experience when it auctions off a VIP package for the upcoming red carpet world premiere of Summit Entertainment’s THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2. The event is sure to be a night to remember with the film’s stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and many more confirmed to attend.

To date, THE TWILIGHT SAGA franchise has grossed over $2.5 billion in worldwide box office. Knowing the in-demand tickets would raise funds for the non-profit, Condon, who is also the sitting Chairman of Film Independent’s Board of Directors, brought the world premiere opportunity to the nonprofit along with the help of Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE® company.
“As a longstanding member of Film Independent and current Chairman of its Board of Directors, I’m always looking for ways to raise awareness of the organization,” said Condon “I hope that by providing a one-of-a-kind fan experience for the final Twilight film we’ll also be able to support the goals of Film Independent.”
Bidding for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 world premiere package will begin on October 30 and conclude November 7. The highest bidder will receive confirmation and instructions on how to claim their prizes. The funds raised will go towards supporting Film Independent’s mission and year-round programs, including Project Involve, which is dedicated to increasing diversity in the film industry by cultivating the careers of under-represented filmmakers.
Summit Entertainment will release THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 in theatres on Friday, November 16, 2012.
