Jennifer Garner is set to reprise her role as Marvel Comics’ assassin anti-heroine Elektra in Deadpool 3, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. The film is currently shooting and will also feature Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
Garner first played Elektra in 2003’s Daredevil, alongside Ben Affleck. She then starred in a solo film in 2005, which was not a success. However, her involvement in Deadpool 3 hints at a multiverse angle to the film, and it is possible that other characters from Marvel films made by Fox could appear.
Marvel has not yet commented on Garner’s involvement in the film.
Deadpool 3 is being directed by Shawn Levy and written by Reynolds, Levy, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Zeb Wells. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.
