A five-minute preview of the upcoming film Oppenheimer has been released. The preview, edited by the film’s editor Jennifer Lame, features new scenes, images, and sounds from the IMAX®-shot epic thriller. The preview also features the film’s breathtaking score by Academy Award® winner Ludwig Göransson.
Oppenheimer is a new epic thriller by acclaimed director Christopher Nolan. The film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the brilliant scientist who led the Manhattan Project to develop the atomic bomb.
Oppenheimer is a star-studded affair, with Cillian Murphy playing the title role and Emily Blunt as his wife, Katherine. The supporting cast includes Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Benny Safdie, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Dane DeHaan, Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Alden Ehrenreich, and Matthew Modine.
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. It is shot in a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format film photography, including sections in IMAX black and white analogue photography.
Nolan is a master of suspense and spectacle, and Oppenheimer is sure to be one of his most ambitious films yet. It is a story of both triumph and tragedy, as Oppenheimer grapples with the moral implications of his work. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023.
