Disney+ debuted the trailer and key art for Lucasfilm’s upcoming live-action series “Star Wars: The Acolyte,” a thrilling mystery set in the final days of the High Republic era. The series premieres on Tuesday, June 4th with a two-episode debut, exclusively on Disney+.
“The Acolyte” follows a revered Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) tasked with investigating a series of shocking crimes. The investigation leads him to cross paths with a dangerous warrior (Amandla Stenberg) from his past. As they delve deeper into the unfolding mystery, they will face sinister forces and discover that the galaxy is not as safe as they once believed.
The series boasts a star-studded cast including Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Leslye Headland, known for her work on “Russian Doll”, created the series and serves as executive producer alongside Star Wars veterans Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, and others.
