This past weekend, DUNE took over Texas SandFest, the largest native-sand sculpture festival in the United States, to pay homage to the Warner Bros. film.
They worked with Canadian sculptor Abe Waterman to create a large sand sculpture bringing the film’s SandWorm monster and Timothee Chalamet’s character Paul Atreides to life.Â
Directed by Denis Villeneuve and adapted from Frank Herbert’s famous sci-fi novel of the same name, DUNE is an epic adventure with an ensemble cast that includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac and international star Chang Chen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Grandmaster).Â
The film releases in theaters and HBO Max on October 21st, and you can check out the new trailer below:
