Another Year, Another Con Well, MegaCon 2018 has come and gone, and for the fifth year, I managed to survive. The older I get, the more of a triumph it is to type that sentence. However, you didn’t come here to read the lamentations of a rapidly aging nerd; you came to live vicariously through said nerd and learn if maybe you should take the time and spend the money to make the trek to Orlando
Another summer, another fun-filled weekend at Phoenix Comic Fest, formerly known as Phoenix Comic Con. Hundreds of visitors, from in-state and out-of-state, rushed through the doors of the Phoenix Convention Center to take part in one of the largest conventions on this side of the country. From that very first day, we were thrilled to see the vendor hall bustling with excited guests, as well as the amazing celebrities that joined in on the activities

Every year, cosplayers from multiple countries compete to become the top representatives of their country, getting to travel to and compete in the World Cosplay Championship hosted by the World Cosplay Summit taking place in Nagoya, Japan. One of the conventions we look forward to covering each year is also one of our very own local events in Arizona, Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention. Although it is local, WWWC is the largest western-styled steampunk convention in the United States. It's the only steampunk convention that takes place in a western-themed town & park at Old Tucson Studios. It's definitely an event to behold for western and steampunk fans alike. The story follows specially trained "Envoy" soldier Takeshi Kovacs, who is downloaded from an off-world prison and into the body of a disgraced cop at the behest of Laurens Bancroft, a highly influential aristocrat. Bancroft was killed, and the
Another year has gone by, another great event at Taiyou Con. We have been covering Taiyou Con for 6 years now so there's nothing new we can say about an event that continues to get better every year and has become one of the premiere conventions in the Valley of the Sun. So please sit back, and enjoy these awesome photos that our editor and photographer at D9 Photography took during the event. Make sure to
Courtesy of the wonderful people at the Lights of the World event, we got to do a fun holiday photo walk late last year. With over 10 million lights, acrobats from China, authentic Chinese food vendors, and carnival rides, this was an event like no other. Joined by photographers Chocozumo, Orange Slice Media, Cole Bekah Photography, and D9 Photography, we were able to capture the magic of the event with some amazing local cosplayers.
