The highly anticipated second season of the smash-hit anime series “Dan Da Dan” has officially begun streaming worldwide. Fans can now catch the latest episodes on major streaming platforms, including ADN, Crunchyroll, Hulu, Muse, and Netflix, among others.
Produced by the renowned animation studio Science SARU, acclaimed for projects such as “DEVILMAN crybaby,” “INU-OH,” and “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off,” this new season promises to uphold the thrilling reputation established by its predecessor. Fuga Yamashiro, director of the successful first season, co-directs alongside Abel Gongora, a seasoned Science SARU veteran known for directing the praised opening animation of the series’ initial run.
Returning to lend his musical talent to the series is esteemed composer Kensuke Ushio, celebrated for his contributions to anime hits such as “Chainsaw Man” and “DEVILMAN crybaby.” The opening theme, “On The Way,” is performed by acclaimed J-Pop artist AiNA THE END, while the closing theme, “Doukashiteru,” is delivered by the popular J-Rock artist WurtS. Both opening and ending theme animations were also released today to coincide with the season premiere.

In conjunction with the streaming launch, “Dan Da Dan” will have a special presence at Anime Expo on July 5th, featuring an exclusive panel with co-director Fuga Yamashiro and Science SARU producer Kohei Sakita. Joining them will be English voice actors AJ Beckles (Okarun), Abby Trott (Momo), and Aleks Le (Jiji), providing fans an insightful behind-the-scenes look at the production.
This release follows a significant global theatrical rollout titled “Dan Da Dan: EVIL EYE,” which began screenings outside Japan in late May. In North America alone, “Dan Da Dan: EVIL EYE” has grossed over $6 million, showcasing fervent international enthusiasm for the franchise.
“Dan Da Dan” originated from Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga, serialized in Shueisha’s renowned “Shonen Jump Plus,” and recently surpassed 10 million copies sold globally, a figure bolstered significantly by the animated series’ widespread acclaim. Yukinobu Tatsu has previously collaborated with notable manga creators such as Tatsuki Fujimoto of “Chainsaw Man” and Yuji Kaku of “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku.”
