The Jurassic World franchise is set to return with a thrilling new installment, Jurassic World Rebirth. This marks a significant evolution for the beloved series, which will debut three years after the conclusion of the Jurassic World trilogy, where each film grossed over $1 billion at the global box office.
Jurassic World Rebirth promises to take audiences on a fresh adventure, led by an all-star cast including action icon Scarlett Johansson, rising star Jonathan Bailey, and two-time Oscar® winner Mahershala Ali. The film centers around a daring mission to obtain DNA samples from the three largest creatures across land, sea, and air—an endeavor that could hold the key to revolutionary medical advancements.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his visually stunning work on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and written by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, this new chapter unfolds five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. The planet’s ecosystem has become hostile to dinosaurs, leaving only a few species surviving in isolated, equatorial environments. Within this tropical sanctuary, the DNA of three colossal creatures could unlock life-saving treatments for humanity.
Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert tasked with leading a top-secret mission to secure the precious genetic material. Alongside her is Ali, portraying Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s trusted team leader, and Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist. Their mission takes a perilous turn when they encounter a civilian family stranded on an island after their boat is attacked by aquatic dinosaurs. Together, they uncover a dark secret that has remained hidden for decades.
The ensemble cast also features international stars Rupert Friend as pharmaceutical representative Martin Krebs, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as the father of the stranded family, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda as the family members. Supporting roles include Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein as members of Zora and Krebs’ crews.
Jurassic World Rebirth is produced by longtime franchise veterans Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, with executive production by Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer. Fans of the series can anticipate another exhilarating ride when the film hits theaters next summer.
