October 31, 2012 – (As of this posting, they have 17 days left on their Kickstarter campaign) Brick Cave Media, a new technology media company, has begun their Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for Subterfuge – their new sci-fi thriller web series. Set in a gloomy near future Phoenix AZ, it follows the story of Eric Chavez – a detective who has just finished solving a ghastly serial killer case. When what looks like a copycat appears on the horizon though, the police are forced to call him back from his temporary leave to partner with the FBI to solve the new murders. What he discovers is larger and more terrifying than imagined.
Says the series Director Bob Nelson, ”We anticipate this to be a amazing new entry into the popular web based format. People are finding the shorter, episodic creations to both be very entertaining and a great fit for their viewing habits. We hope to bring a new level storytelling and production quality to the shows.”
The goal of $3,000 is the base amount needed to get the show going and will help with the cost of cast, crew, locations, makeup and VFX. The donation levels range from $1-$1,000 and include perks such as a signed script, lobby cards, original artwork, a character named by you and more.
