‘We Are What We Are’ Premiere Trailer – “Some Secrets Can Consume You”

I’ve seen my far share of disturbing films. It’s pretty rare for trailers to creepy me out, but that’s different for Jim Mickle’s newest film “We Are What We Are,” which is an english remake of Jorge Michel Grau’s 2010 original film.

Today, via IGN, eOne dropped a trailer premiere for their upcoming cannibal-inspired thriller “We Are What We Are,” which of course you can watch below and check out the synopsis after the jump:

“A seemingly wholesome and benevolent family, the Parkers have always kept to themselves, and for good reason. Behind closed doors, patriarch Frank rules the roost with a rigorous fervor, determined to keep his ancestral customs intact at any cost. As a torrential rainstorm moves into the area, tragedy strikes and his daughters Iris and Rose are forced to assume responsibilities that extend beyond those of a typical family. The most important task the girls face is putting meat on the table— but not the kind that can be found at the local supermarket. As the unrelenting downpour continues to flood their small town, local authorities begin to uncover clues that bring them closer to the secret that the Parkers have held closely for so many years.”

We Are What We Are,” which was directed by Jim Mickle, hits (limited) theater September 27th, 2013, and stars Kelly McGillis, Michael Parks, Wyatt Russell, Ambyr Childers, Julia Garner, Nick Damici, Bill Sage, Vonia Arslanian, Laurent Rejto, Reagan Leonard, Annemarie Lawless, and I.N. Sierros.
