On March 22nd, the Civic Space Park in Downtown Phoenix is going to have it’s world rocked by some incredible dance music by some top electronic dance music (EDM) artists, including Hardwell, named DJ Mag’s #1 DJ in the world twice in 2013 and 2014.
Joining Hardwell will be an amazing line of talent including: Robin Schulz, Zeds Dead, Route94, Lane 8, and just recently announced: Kill Frenzy, and Secondcity. All of these artists have helped bring the EDM world to a whole new level and are bound to help the dance music scene in Arizona grow at the Phoenix Lights Festival on the 22nd. The festival is being co-produced by True Music Xperience and Relentless Beats.
To top it off, Phoenix Lights Fest will be held at the Civic Space Park on Central Ave, which is located close to the ASU downtown campus and is considered a local art space featuring sustainable construction such as solar panels, plenty of shade and vegetation, and measures put in place to reduce heat reflection and capture rainfall that could otherwise damage some of the park when monsoon season hits. There also happens to be a pretty badass art sculpture in the park created by Janet Echelon that is suspended above the park and is illuminated at night. Read more about this beautiful sculpture, titled “Her Secret is Patience”, here.
To add to the artistic, urban setting, Phoenix Lights Fest will also feature additional light installations including an oversized piece from renowned artist, Isaac Caruso. I hear there will be lights in his piece and it will be amazeballs. In fact, the theme of the entire festival is inspired from the infamous UFO sighting that happened over 20 years ago (hence the name “Phoenix Lights”). We can expect the visuals, the stage designs, and the additional, interactive features to really blow your mind.
