We’ve seen a lot of amazing special events come out of the world of Overwatch, but I have to say… our Blizzard developers truly outdid themselves this time. After partnering with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Blizzard has introduced a new ‘Pink Mercy’ skin that will be available for purchase from now until May 21, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards funding breast cancer research!
As we all know, Dr. Angela Ziegler, who we all know as ‘Mercy’, has dedicated her life to helping and healing others (even those who refuse to stay on the payload). Now, our favorite Doctor is taking her support to the real world to help women everywhere fight breast cancer. As someone who has had a family member overcome breast cancer, I’m truly amazed by Blizzard’s dedication to helping fund BCRF. Not only can our purchases of the new Mercy skin help in this cause, but Blizzard has also created a limited edition Pink Mercy shirt, Pink Mercy hero sprays, as well as player icons you can use as Twitch Drops. As I mentioned before, Blizzard will donate 100% of all Pink Mercy purchases to BCRF, with a minimum donation of $250,000 (USD).
