Our first convention coverage of the year! A huge thanks to the guys at Amazing Arizona Comicon for allowing us to be a part of this growing event at the Mesa Convention Center.
From Robert Kirkman, Greg Capullo, Rob Liefeld and the “Sort of a big deal” himself, Brian Augustyn, there was someone for everyone interested in the comic book world.
With an event with this many amazing guests, we had to separate our teams to be able to cover the entire event. Not to mention that Taiyou Con was going on as well the same weekend. Credit goes out to Jim, Tasha, Toni, Stephanie and Heather for their hard work going back and forth in covering both events.
My team and I dedicated our time to Amazing Arizona Con. Charles took a bunch of awesome photographs. I got a few good interviews and recorded the entire Walking Dead panel that featured Robert Kirkman, Chandler Riggs and Sina Grace. The recording will be made available to listen to in the near future.
Overall, Amazing Arizona Con was much better than years past. The guest lineup was appealing to all genres of the comic book world. And the vendor hall/artist alley was diverse.
Thank you once again to Amazing Arizona Comicon for bringing another great event to the Valley of the Sun!!
