What to Expect at MCM Comic Con London 2019

October in London has more to offer than just a spooky atmosphere, it also has MCM Comic Con. With a myriad of stellar guests, attractions, and activities for all ages, this year’s convention is sure to be fun for the whole family. With lots of options for dining and entertainment close to the ExCeL London convention center, the location of the event itself is sure to make for a fun and easy con-going experience. 

Guests for this year’s event include some big names in film, television, video games, and comics. This year brings fans the opportunity to see some of the actors who bring their favorite characters to life including Simon Pegg, Tara Strong, and 3 of the Losers Club Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, and Jaeden Martell. Video game fans can also get the chance to meet Bryan Dechart, Troy Baker, and Amelia Rose Blaire as this year also brings in some of the heaviest hitters from some of the biggest titles released this year so far. 

For the die-hard comic fans, don’t worry cause MCM Comic Con has you covered as well. Two of the biggest names in comics will be in attendance this year, giving fans the chance to see and meet George Perez, best known for his work on Wonder Woman, The New Teen Titans, and the Infinity Gauntlet arc. Alongside him is Jim Shooter who fans can get the chance to ask about his work with DC, Marvel, and Valiant comics. The experience of being able to meet these two powerhouse comic icons would sure be an experience for the books for any comic aficionado.

Though if meeting celebrities isn’t exactly your cup of tea, don’t worry! There are plenty of events to keep you occupied through the weekend of the convention! With workshops to help with finding your creative spark for cosplay to writing in multiple genres, a comic village where you can pick up some new hidden gems of the indie titles and a cosplay central area for both newbie and veteran cosplayers alike, there isn’t a shortage of activities for everyone to enjoy! 

On top of the various activities and workshops though there is also an assortment of other things to occupy and stimulate your interests. With an author’s corner where you can see of the new content from novelists, bloggers and publishers, a vendor hall full of all the pop culture and comic merchandise you can shake your wallet at, and a studio corner to check out some of the newest content from every corner of the internet you can think of, there’s sure to be enough fun to fill the entire weekend and then some! 

Other attractions include fun for kids activity spot called The Treehouse, a little corner of culture known as Pop Asia, and a tattoo enthusiasts dream in being able to get tattooed at the con as well to commemorate the experience. With something for everyone at this fall’s MCM London, it’s well worth a trip across the pond to check out!
