“Change is inevitable.”
So begins “Vanguard”, a new web series in pre-production by writer/director Christopher Sheffield. A familiar face in Arizona film making Sheffield had been involved with several local productions including; Syntax, Mantecoza and his own parody spoof about Super Hero roommates.
This series will follow a small group of powerful young men and women where evolution has already taken the next step. Strangers to each other and estranged from the world they will be forced to make a decision: Let the world shape them into monsters, or rise above to become heroes. This is the first generation in the fight – the Vanguard for generations of heroes and villains to come.

Vanguard is going to be ambitious in its special effects by the look of the reel that was released on Tuesday. Lightning bolts flying from fingertips and entire hands lighting on fire are only a few of the FX revealed.
Filming will begin in Los Angeles during November.
