Ridley Scott’s newest film, “The Counselor,” looks damn good. First off Corman McCarthy (the man who wrote “No Country For Old Men”) is listed as screenwriter. Second, the cast list is amazing and lastly it’s directed by freaking Ridley Scott. With all that said, “The Counselor” seems like an all around solid flick.
Check out the trailer below and synopsis after the jump:
“Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott and Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy (“No Country for Old Men”) have joined forces in the motion picture thriller “The Counselor,” starring Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, Penélope Cruz, and Cameron Diaz. McCarthy, making his screenwriting debut and Scott interweave the author’s characteristic wit and dark humor with a nightmarish scenario, in which a respected lawyer’s dalliance with an illegal business deal spirals out of control.”
“The Counselor,” which is directed by Ridley Scott (“Alien,” “Prometheus“), hit theaters October 25th, 2013, and stars Michael Fassbender, Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt.
