This movie is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in years! The film takes you through all 7 of Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas shows: O, Mystère, Kà , Love, Zumanity,Viva Elvis and Criss Angel Believe. The costuming is amazing, along with the sets, the acting, the music… Really, the entire experience is amazing. And I say experience, rather than movie, because it really does feel like an experience. As soon as it began, I was transported to another world. I was no longer watching a movie, it felt like I was there with them all, watching the story unfold.
Cirque du Soleil is known, to some, as the “Human Circus” and with good reason. They never use animals, they just use human performers, who are all amazingly talented. They’ve got everything from contortionists to aerialists, and so many more in between. The variety of acts, and the precision with which they are all done, are astounding. I was on the edge of my seat for a good chunk of the movie, and I had to hold back from applauding occasionally, when I would remember just in the nick of time that I was watching a movie, not a live show.
Other than a monologue in the beginning of the film, the entire story is told with movements and music. There are maybe 3 sentences, total, after that first speech. So if you’re one for lots of dialogue, be ready for basically none. This is one of the things that really struck me as amazing about this film: it doesn’t NEED any dialogue to tell the story, and to tell it with such precision and emotion. I’ll be honest here. At the end of the film, I was nearly in tears because of the beauty and purity of the entire experience. The
If you’ve never gotten a chance to see Cirque du Soleil perform live, this is the next best thing, especially if you see it in 3D. The 3D feels natural, like you’re watching a live show, rather than that odd fake feeling a lot of 3D films have, and it makes it all seem larger than life. The 2D version would be amazing too, but if you feel like spending a couple extra bucks, I highly recommend seeing it in 3D.
For being one of the most moving love stories I’ve ever witnessed, and for the sheer amazement, I’m giving Cirque du Soleil ‘Worlds Away’:
15 Stars!

As an avid Jill-Of-All-Trades, I dabble in many things, but I've always been passionate about writing and photography. I read like a fiend, all sorts of genres and authors, and I hope someday to write my own novels. I've been taking pictures since I was little, and I strive to improve my skills everytime I pick up a camera. I love all kinds of movies, from those terrible-yet-hilarious B movies to the latest superhero blockbusters. I play video games, roleplaying games, even Magic: The Gathering (much to the chagrin of my wallet, at times), because I adore delving into these other, amazing, created worlds.
