Louisiana Comic Con 2015 is coming to the Cajundome Convention Center on October 17th and 18th and it is probably the best bargain I have ever heard of for a comic con! Tickets are only $15 for the day and $25 for the whole weekend to see David Della Rocco from The Boondock Saints, TWO special guests from The Walking Dead and much more!
Any fans of The Walking Dead are bound to be ecstatic the appearances of Lew Temple (The Walking Dead, The Devils’s Rejects, The Lone Ranger) and Pruitt Taylor Vince (Heroes Reborn, The Walking Dead, Constantine). Sean Patrick Flanery (Powerder, Saw 3D, Dexter, The Boondock Saints) was scheduled at attend but it was just announced this past week that he will be unable to attend due to filming; which is really disappointing, however I’m excited to see Flanery’s latest work, and David Della Rocco is still attending, so we’ll still get our Boondock Saints fix.
Some other faces to look forward to seeing are the handsome Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Gilmore Girls, Super), Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior, Weird Science, Commando), and Donald Fullilove (Back to the Future, The Jackson 5ive). Two lovely cosplayers, Nicole Marie Jean (whom I’ve seen at other conventions and she is a fantastic person) and Haiden Hazard (she is also a costume designer and a public speaker.)
Just updated a couple weeks ago, Todd Haberkorn is coming to Louisiana Comic Con as well! (When I found this out, I may have jumped out of my seat a little.) He has been the voice talent for Natsu from Fairy Tail, Death the Kid from Soul Eater, Nobuyuki Sugou from Sword Art Online, and much, much more.
Also attending are comic book artists Josef ‘Joe’ Rubinstein (Wolverine, The Infinity Gauntlet), Mike Huddleston (The Stain, Harley Quinn, Batgirl, Trick R Treat), Andy Kuhn (TMNT, Samurai Jack, Doctor Who, Firebreather), the unique Rob Guillory (Eisner/ Harbey Award Winner, Chew), Kody Chamberlain (Punks, Sweets, The Foundation, 30 Days of Night), Roland Paris (Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Force, Ms. Marvel) and Taylor Wells (Freelance Artist, Chew Color Assistant, Mucho Man). I personally can’t wait to get Andy Kuhn’s autograph because even I’m allowed to fangirl a little bit. (I think it’s even encouraged…)
So if you’re a comic loving, action craving, cosplaying enthusiast, come on over to Lafayette, Louisiana where the food is delicious, the Cajuns are ragin’ and the traffic is always awful on Ambassador Caffery. (No seriously, they have construction going on right now, find an alternate route.) See you there my fellow geeks!
