20th Century Fox is bringing us another film in the Planet of the Apes franchise! This one will be titled War for the Planet of the Apes and boy oh boy, war has begun. This is the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise and will again feature Andy Serkis as Caesar the leader of the Apes and will also feature Woody Harrelson as the films villain. This time the apes will be forced into a deadly battle with the humans lead by the Colonel.
First Trailer Released
The first trailer was recently released and shows just how deadly this battle will be. Does Caesar now understand what Koba was trying to tell him all along?
Short Synopsis
This time Caesar played by Andy Serkis and his fellow apes will be forced into a deadly battle with an army of humans led by the ruthless Colonel played by Woody Harrelson. After the apes suffer some unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his journey to avenge his fellow apes. The journey will bring the humans and apes face to face once again. Caesar and the Colonel will be pitted against one another in an epic battle that will determine the fate of the species and the future of planet Earth.
War for the Planet of the Apes will be directed and written by Matt Reeves as well as Mark Bomback . The film will be produced by Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver. The cast will feature Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval, and Terry Notary.
