Simon McQuoid and his creative team blatantly ignored almost everything that makes Mortal Kombat good from a story standpoint, and instead threw in an R rating and some fatalities in hopes that would be enough to appease fans.

With money running out and suicidal thoughts taking hold, the final 30 minutes of French Exit are fantastic. Clocking in just shy of two hours, it takes a bit to get to the best parts of the film, but the final act is worth the wait.

The Courier is a well-crafted albeit extremely conventional biopic that tells an incredible story. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

WandaVision is an incredible series for Disney’s first entry into the Marvel TV series library, which had already established a high bar.

Stellar performances coupled with what we know of dementia make The Father extremely believable, and an almost freighting experience.

Coming 2 America goes out of its way to cater to fans of the original. While that isn’t a bad thing, it simultaneously alienates anyone who is unfamiliar with the original, or would not be able to relate to its humor after all these years.

One Night in Miami is a unique viewing experience, to be sure. The writing, acting, and set design are all executed to the highest quality.

At the end of the day, Soul is good but nothing exceptional. The movie does what it needs to do to be a decent film, but it never reaches the heights of the best Pixar movies, not even close.

There isn’t much praise that can be given to Wonder Woman 1984. There will be some diehard fans that look beyond all of the faults in the film and just enjoy Diana Prince doing Wonder Woman things. It’s a very positive film, so it has that going for it, but otherwise this is easily one of the worst films in the DCEU roster.

Fatman is a washed-up Santa Claus hunted down by a hitman after slighting a 12-year-old boy, but the movie doesn't live up to its premise.
