PHOENIX COMICON Is Here!

Phoenix Comicon 2016 is finally here! Finish your costumes, pack your best geek attire, and get ready to party like a rock star! Phoenix Comicon happens this Thursday June 2nd through Sunday June 5th! There is a ton to do and see this year at the con and we at Geek News Network want to make sure you don’t miss any of it! You can check out the full programming schedule here, but we are going to go over some must see events at the convention!

For those who have little hobbits with them at the convention, there is a lot of fun programming for the kids at Phoenix Comicon this year. Phoenix Comicon has anything from pirate training to a castle Siege! Don’t forget the arts and crafts room, Lego Free Build rooms, and have a visit with the mermaids! If your little one is a fan of cosplay and wants to show off their work, make sure to take them to the costume fashion show on Friday! There is plenty of things to do to keep you and your little ones entertained during Comicon!

Don’t have the little one’s this year? Or maybe you don’t have geeks in training at all! Here are some of the after hours events for adults! For the fifth year in a row Phoenix Comicon will be hosting “Talk Nerdy to me: A Byte of Burlesque.” This is adults only 18+ event, and it is also a paid event to attend. The ticket price is 15$ as the front of house tickets are sold out! You can purchase tickets to this event here. The show will be help on Friday Night.

If burlesque isn’t for you, there is also the One Party to Rule Them All!! Party with all of your fellow Geeks and share your love of everything middle earth at this event! This event is another 18+ event and also needs a separate ticket. Tickets for this event are $20 and can be purchased here. The party will be held on Saturday starting at 10pm.

Are you a dancer? Want to show off your ballroom moves? Well join everyone else on Friday at Jareth’s Masquerade Ball! Show off your moves and your beautiful costumes and Dance, Magic, Dance! This is a free event and open to everyone of all ages!

Are you a fan of Cosplay? Do you like seeing co-players’ strut their stuff on stage? Then there are two events for you! First off is the Cosplay Fashion Show, where everyone can strut their stuff on stage for fun and show off their hard work! This event will be held on Friday afternoon! The next event will be held on Saturday evening! The Phoenix Comicon Masquerade Costume Competition! Go support your fellow Geek cosplayers as they show off their hard work and compete for fantastic prizes!

There is a ton to do this year and we can’t wait to go see as much as we can!
