Pixar Fest at Disneyland and DCA!

Disneyland is celebrating Pixar Fest this summer season! The festival runs through September 3rd so if you haven’t had a chance to see all of the fun, now is the time to go! During Pixar Fest there are several special things to see, do, purchase, and eat! We will go over all of them right now!

Pixar Fest Entertainment

One of the things you have to see during your visit to Pixar Fest is the fantastic firework display titled “Together Forever- A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular”. This fireworks show is a beautiful display of all of your favorite Pixar characters showing their friendships and family. You can watch this firework show at Sleeping Beauty Castle, River’s of America, and It’s A Small World for different perspectives of the show! You can check out how they created the show here.

If fireworks aren’t your thing you can head on over to Tomorrowland Terrace for the Pixar Pals Dance Party! You can dance alongside some of your favorite Pixar characters to fun modern music! You can usually catch the characters from Monster’s Inc and Toy Story dancing to their favorite tunes.

During the day at Disneyland, you can also catch the Pixar Play Parade! They have added some new floats and characters since it’s first run over at Disney’s California Adventure, so be sure to check it out! The parade is performed twice a day and travels from It’s a Small World to Mainstreet U.S.A. Parade spots fill up fast so I would recommend getting a spot early. Plaza Inn also has a picnic lunch dining package option where you will get food and a reserved spot to see the Parade.

Over in California Adventure, you can find the fun light filled Paint the Night Parade! Everyone loved this parade so much, Disney brought it back! You can pick a spot on your own for the Parade or you can pick from several special dining packages as well that give you reserved seating for the Parade.

Snacks and Food

There is one thing that everybody loves at Disneyland and that is the Specialty Foods! You can check out my other article on other summer snacks and Disneyland here. This time at Pixar Fest we have all kinds of special items to eat throughout the day!

Our first stop is Pizza Port, or should I say Pizza Planet! That’s right Pizza Port has been taken over by the loveable green aliens from Toy Story. Special for Pixar Fest, Pizza Port is selling cheeseburger pizza. That is right it’s Pizza with ketchup, yellow mustard, and pizza sauce on a sesame seed crust and topped with American and Cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, slider patties, house-made burger sauce, and pickles. They also serve the fun green alien Macarons here!

Over in New Orleans Square at Café Orleans you can get the 3-course meal that is inspired by Ratatouille. The first course of this meal is a specialty cheese flight with three cheeses, dried fruit, and honeycomb. The second course is Shrimp Ratatouille Byaldi layered with roasted zucchini, yellow squash, eggplant, and tomato. The third course will be Berry-Stuffed Beignets à la Mode served with a sweet brie drizzle and mascarpone. Sounds delicious to me!

At Carnation Café on Mainstreet, you’ll find some fun dishes inspired by Carl Frederickson from “Up.” Here you can get the Fried Bologna Sandwich or the Pork Chop Dinner served on a “TV tray” with a spiced apple pork chop, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, a corn muffin, and a decadent molten lava cake.

Plaza Inn is home of the fabulous Lemon Raspberry Pixar cake! This cake is a three layer cake with layers of lemon, blue vanilla, and red velvet cakes with raspberry purée and cream cheese frosting and is topped with a chocolate half-dome of the Pixar Ball!

Merchandise

During Pixar Fest, you are sure to be able to find many souvenirs only available through September 3rd. For apparel, we can find the t-shirts, pullovers, and hats that feature the logo and many of your favorite Pixar characters.

There also some fun new headwear choices! From Jessie, Woody, and Buzz themed headbands to fun Pixar themed Hair bows, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Throughout the park, you will also find special drink cups and straw novelties. You can get a light up glass with a little green alien and the claw inside. You can also pick up some fun character straw clips like Remy, Mike Wazowski, and the Little Green Aliens.

There is so much to see and do at Pixar Fest it will be enjoyable for the whole family! Remember though it only lasts through September 3rd so head to Disneyland while you can! See you real soon!
