Halloween At Disney: Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Halloween time is fast approaching at Disneyland Parks, that means villains, candy, and costumes! It also means it’s time for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!! So here is everything you need to know about Mickey’s Halloween Party!

Halloween

1. It is a Ticketed Event

This means you have to have a separate ticket for this event than your everyday ticket.  Your party ticket guarantees you entry into the park 3-4 hours before your party time. At your party time for most parties, the rest of the people in the park get kicked out without a Halloween party ticket, which means fewer people at the party! With each ticket, you will get a wristband that will say the date of your party!

2. Costumes are Welcome for Everyone

As long as you follow the Costume guidelines here, you can wear costumes to the park! One year I went dressed as Thranduil from the Hobbit, another year I was Elinor from Brave, and the last year I was Mary Poppins! It is a blast! You can check out the exact guidelines here.

3. Trick-or-Treating is for Everyone

Trick or treating is open to everyone with a ticketed wristband, not just children. Disney gives everyone a trick or treating bag as you enter the park for the party. Just take that bag or one you bring from home with you into the specially designated trick or treat lines and watch your bag overflow with candy and treats! They will hand out treats like Snickers, Hershey’s, Starburst, chips, fruit snacks, apple slices, and carrots. They have allergy-friendly snacks as well, all you need to do is ask!

4. All rides are open and some are Holiday Themed

All of the rides remain open during the party! The Halloween Party is a ticketed event and has a cap on attendance. Fewer people means less waiting in line. Rides like Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion take on a fun holiday twist as well. Space Mountain is transformed into Ghost Galaxy where a Ghost in Space chases you through the whole coaster experience. Haunted Mansion turns into Haunted Mansion Holiday with Jack and Sally from “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.

7. Special Character Meet and Greets

Some of these special Characters only come out for the Party. You can meet all of your favorite villains around the park.

8. Halloween Parties are on specific days from mid-September to October 31st.

You can check the dates and purchase your Halloween Party tickets here.

9. There is special Décor

The castle gets special projections, projections all down Mainstreet, Mickey ghost balloons, talking scarecrows, and so much more are done for the party only.

Halloween

As the title of the party states, Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party is completely family friendly. Aside from Ghost Galaxy, your kiddos shouldn’t be spooked by anything. It is a lot of fun to attend and if you love Halloween this is the Party for you!

Let me know if you have ever attended one of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties and what your thoughts were!
