Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2 Premiere

For those who are unfamiliar, Mortal Kombat is getting a sort of live-action kick in the pants as of late thanks to the imaginative talents of Fame director Kevin Tancharoen. The most recent shot of adrenaline comes with the early Thursday premiere of the entire second season of Mortal Kombat: Legacy 2 on the Machinima Youtube channel.

Tancharoen made waves when his experimental short depicting some of Mortal Kombat’s finest fighters in brutal, hyper realistic punch-ups. The video garnered so much attention that Warner Bros. granted Tancharoen the opportunity to create an entire webseries dubbed Mortal Kombat: Legacy.

Legacy 2 departs from the origin stories that comprised the first season and follows a slew of fighters including Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Scorpion, and more as they participate in the actual Mortal Kombat tournament.  Check out the brutality below:
