Hello Comic Book Fandom,
This past weekend I got a chance to go to the Rapture Horror Expo and had a good time. Even got to pick up some sweet stuff! Check it out:
Anyway let’s get to the top 10 books that should be on your radar this week…..
1. Batman #13
– THE CLOWN PRINCE OF CRIME IS BACK AND I COULDN’T BE MORE EXCITED. Writer Scott Snyder is a master of his craft and the artwork by Greg Capullo is simplifying terrifying. This book is a must for any Batman fan and it’s a perfect jumping on point for any reader!
2. Saga, Vol. 1 TP
– If you could only read one book a month and have a hard time deciding which one, Saga is your only choice. Writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Fiona Staples (Star Wars meets Romero and Juilet) universe is fantastic. This trade collects the first six issues and its only $9.99! I highly recommend this trade for any comic book reader.
3. Space Punisher #4
– The Punisher kills everything… IN SPACE! I can’t highly recommend this series anymore and extremely bummed this is the last issue. I hope Frank Tieri and Mark Texeira can deliver more goods in the future!
4. The Walking Dead: Michonne Special
– For those of you who haven’t been reading the comic book but love the TV show and want to find out who Michonne is, now is your chance. She is my favorite part of the walking dead series and I couldn’t be more excited to see her make her way into the TV show!
5. Uncanny Avengers #1
– Let me put it this way: Artwork by John Cassaday and story by Rick Remender should be the only reason to pick this up. Avengers vs. X-Men is over and its time for Marvel NOW! (relaunch) a new ongoing series featuring the Avengers to start.
6. The Creep #2
– The first issue had cover art by Frank Miller, second had Mike Mignola and now issue three has Ryan Sook? Shut up and take my money Dark Horse comics……
P.S. The inside story/art is top-notch.
7. Macgyver: Fugitive Gauntlet #1
– What’s better than a Macgyver comic book? How about it being co-written by creator Lee David Zlotoff!
8. Evil Ernie #1
– Do you guys remember how awesome Evil Ernie was back in the 90’s? No? Well now is your chance to see what the psychotic killer is all about!
9. Batman & Robin #13
– A) How awesome is that cover! B) Zombies in Gotham City??
10. Invincible Iron Man #526
